Silagra 100 MG Tablet contains Sildenafil. It is better know as the blue pill. It is an effective medicine use for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Erectile dysfunction is a condition where a man is unable to achieve and/or maintain an erection adequate for sexual intercourse. This happens because of decreased blood flow due to physical injuries and certain medical conditions, or due to some psychological conditions such as anxiety, stress, depression, etc.

Why is Sildenafil Prescribe? (Indications)

This medication is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, prescribed for erectile dysfunction (impotence). This may be due to physical problems such as an injury; diseases like benign prostatic hypertrophy (prostate gland enlargement), diabetes, neuropathy (nerve pain), prostate cancer; and psychological causes such as anxiety, stress, depression, etc. Habits such as smoking, drinking, etc. could also contribute to ED.

Silagra 100 MG Tablet is used to help sustain an erection by increasing the blood flow to the penis. While it is important to treat the underlying cause of ED, it is also important to undergo counselling and lifestyle modifications along with treatment with this medicine to achieve the best possible effect.

 

Dosage of Silagra 100 MG

  • Overdose

Symptoms of an overdose are headache, dizziness, indigestion, flushing, stuffy nose.
If you experience any of the symptoms or think you have taken too much of Silagra Tablets, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

  • Missed a Dose

If you have missed taking any dose of Silagra, take it as soon as you remember.
If it’s time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose
schedule.
Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

 

When should Sildenafil not be taken? (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity. Patients concurrently or intermittently using organic nitrates in any form.

 

What is the dosage of Sildenafil?

PO- 50 mg about 1 hour before sexual intercourse. Adjust dose based on response. Max: 100 mg/dose and not more than once in 24 hour.
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension- 20 mg 3 times daily.
IV- 10 mg (12.5 mL) administered as a bolus injection 3 times daily.
